The Norton Darts Team

The Norton Darts Team has enjoyed incredible success over the past year by winning 24 consecutive league matches and being crowned Dengie Hundred Invitation Dart League champions for both the summer and winter leagues.  At the end of the summer league having won the league title the following additional trophies were won, Jason (The Hood) runner up Captain, Jason (The Hood) singles champion, Jason (The Hood) & Martin (El Bow) runners up in pairs, Laird (The Lord) highest checkout in the division. We are now about to start the knockouts for this season and results will be posted here soon..... On the back of all this success the team has now been promoted to the second division in both leagues . The team first came together shortly after the pub re-opened. Some players had not played since the eighties and some looked like they had never played before. Nonetheless, there was definitely some potential and good fun was had by all, although at this stage, nobody could have imagined the transformation to Darting Gods and supreme athletes that would follow. 

The pub has provided a warm welcome to opposing teams which has helped raise the profile of the pub and put The Norton on the darts map. We are now one of the chosen venues for hosting the DHIDL competitions. A special word of thanks to Chris Edwards for providing the food at our home matches, which like the team, is the best in the league.

Breaking News - In the Doubles Knockout Tournament Jason and Mark have made it through to the finals night.  Unfortunately Martin and Louis fell at the last hurdle in the same competition.
